Garia Puja 2025 Holiday Confusion? Here’s the Clear Answer from Tripura Government & TTADC

Thankfully, both the Tripura Government and TTADC (Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council) have released official statements to clear all doubts.

What Did the Tripura Government Say?

On 21st April 2025, the Information & Cultural Affairs Department of Tripura issued an official clarification.

Earlier, people believed that only one day of holiday was declared for Garia Puja. But the new government has changed the plan. They officially announced two holidays:

One holiday on Garia Puja starting day

Another on the last day of the Puja.


So now, everyone can enjoy the full spirit of the Puja without worrying about missing out due to work!

What About TTADC?

TTADC, which looks after the tribal areas of Tripura, also released an Office Memorandum confirming an additional holiday on 22nd April 2025.

As per their memo:

Today i.e on 22nd April another additional holiday in the TTADC regions is declared.
