Mega Jansuraksha Campaign Held at Nalchar: Governor Highlights Financial Inclusion and Social Security

The Nalchar RD Block in Sepahijala district became the center of attention on September 25, as Tripura Gramin Bank organized a Mega Jansuraksha Campaign at the local Community Hall. The event aimed at spreading financial awareness and ensuring that government-backed social security schemes reach every citizen.

The program was graced by Tripura Governor Shri Indrasena Reddy Nallu as the chief guest. Among other key dignitaries were Panchayat, Higher Education & GA (Political) Minister Shri Kishor Barman, Punjab National Bank Executive Director Shri Bibhu Prasad Mahapatra, and Sepahijala Zila Sabhadhipati Smt. Supriya Das Dutta, along with senior officials from banking and administration.

Governor : During Mega Jansuraksha Campaign

Addressing the gathering, Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu emphasized the government’s focus on financial inclusion and last-mile social security delivery during Mega Jansuraksha Campaign. He noted that flagship schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) are designed to provide a safety net for vulnerable families.

“It is our commitment that every household, even in the most remote areas, must receive the benefits of social security schemes,” the Governor stated.

Direct Support to Families

A major highlight of the campaign was the distribution of cheques worth ₹2 lakh each to five nominees under PMSBY and PMJJBY. This gesture symbolized the schemes’ role in offering financial relief to families who have lost their primary earners.

Community Engagement and Awareness

The day-long program also featured:

  • Financial literacy sessions to raise awareness about banking and insurance.
  • Stall visits and interactions with community members.
  • Motivational speeches from senior officials, including the Additional District Magistrate of Sepahijala, RBI General Manager, and Tripura Gramin Bank Chairman Shri Satyendra Singh.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by the Regional Manager (South) of Tripura Gramin Bank, followed by more cheque distributions and direct interaction with beneficiaries.

The Mega Jansuraksha Campaign at Nalchar showcased Tripura Gramin Bank’s commitment to building financially aware communities, expanding social security coverage, and strengthening trust between institutions and common people.
