What is the Last date to apply online in RRB ALP 2025?

In the recent corrigendum, the last date has been extended to 19th May 2025 (23:59 hours) from 11th May 2025.

How much is the salary in RRB ALP 2025?

Pay Scale : Rs 19900

Pay Level : Level 2

Grade Pay : Rs 1900

Dearness Allowance  : Rs 10945.00

House Rent Allowance : Rs 950 – Rs 1020

Transport Allowance : Rs 820 – Rs 900

Night Duty Allowance : Rs 350 – Rs 390

Running Allowances: Rs 6000 – Rs 6300

Gross Pay (Approx.) :Rs 40,000.00

Can You Apply to More Than One RRB?

No. You can apply to only one RRB for the ALP post. Submitting multiple applications—even with slight information changes—can disqualify you and get you debarred from future RRB and RRC recruitments.

Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?

  • Education: You must have completed:
    • Matriculation/SSLC + ITI or Apprenticeship in specified trades OR
    • Matriculation/SSLC + 3-year Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering OR
    • A Degree in the above Engineering disciplines.
  • Age: 18 to 30 years as of 01-07-2025.
    • Age relaxations apply for SC/ST, OBC-NCL, Ex-servicemen, and railway employees.

Note: Final-year students are not eligible.

Medical Standards for RRB ALP 2025

The RRB ALP 2025 job demands A-1 medical standards, especially for vision:

  • Distant Vision: 6/6 without glasses
  • Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 (no glasses)
  • Must pass tests for colour, binocular, field, night, and mesopic vision.
  • No LASIK or refractive surgeries allowed.
  • Refer to Chapter 5 of the Indian Railway Medical Manual for details.

The 5-Stage Recruitment Process

  1. CBT-1 (Preliminary Exam)
  2. CBT-2 (Main Exam)
  3. CBAT (Aptitude Test)
  4. Document Verification
  5. Medical Examination

How Shortlisting Works

  • CBT-2: Top 15x candidates per RRB from CBT-1 (normalized scores).
  • CBAT: Top 8x candidates per category from CBT-2 (Part A).
  • Final DV: Based on combined performance in CBT-2 and CBAT.

Exam Fee & Refunds

  • General: ₹500 (₹400 refunded after appearing for CBT-1).
  • SC/ST/EBC/Female/Minority/ExSM/Transgender: ₹250 (full refund after CBT-1).
  • Refunds require correct bank details; errors mean no refund.

Document Verification: What You’ll Need for RRB ALP 2025

  • Certificates: Educational, technical, age proof, caste/category, income (if applicable), etc.
  • NOC: Required for govt/PSU employees.
  • Minority Affidavit & Income Certificate: Required for fee relaxation claims.

Failing to produce valid documents means disqualification.

Reservation Rules & Merit List

  • Vertical Reservation: SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS.
  • Horizontal Reservation: Ex-servicemen.
  • Reserved category candidates can also apply under the UR quota, but won’t get any relaxation.
  • Merit List: 70% weightage to CBT-2 (Part A) + 30% to CBAT score.
  • In case of a tie, the older candidate gets priority.
