Tripura CM Dr. Manik Saha Emphasizes Blood Donation as a Social Duty at Deed Writers Association Camp

Agartala, April 25, 2025: In a heartfelt message during a blood donation camp organized by the Deed Writers Association, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha emphasized that blood donation is not just an act of kindness—it is a social duty.

Addressing the camp held on the occasion of the association’s 70th foundation day at the District and Sessions Judge Court near Fire Brigade Chowmuhani in Agartala, the CM stated, “The new generation must come forward and participate in this noble cause.”

Highlighting the life-saving power of blood, Dr. Saha said, “One person’s donated blood can save the lives of three to four patients in critical condition.” He further emphasized the importance of organized blood donation drives and lauded the consistent efforts of both government and private sectors to bridge the gap in blood supply.

Dr. Saha praised Tripura’s contribution to the national blood donation movement and appreciated the Deed Writers Association for balancing legal responsibilities with community service. “Organizations like this inspire others by contributing to social causes despite their demanding schedules,” he added.

After inaugurating the event, the Chief Minister visited the donors and personally encouraged them for their contribution.

The event was graced by several notable guests including Bhikkhu Kamal Vaishnav Maharaj of Chaitanya Gaudiya Math Shri Jagannath Jiu Mandir, B.K. Mamata Behenji of Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya University, Corporator Janbhi Das Chowdhury, and social worker Shyamal Kumar Deb. The program commenced with a welcome address by its convener, Gautam Kumar Das.
